Dewalt XR Flexvolt

Dewalt wanted a video to show off the versatility and long life of their new Xr Flexvolt battery. We only had two days to shoot 6 products and the client had specified that it needed to look as if the products were being used "on site". Normally I prefer to shoot things practically but due to health and safety reasons we were unable to obtain access to a building site so we decided to use a combination of green screen and 3d rendered backgrounds. Before we shot I was able to sit down with the 3D artist and do "Digital recce" of our locations  pick out the backgrounds before we shot and even advise them on the intricate details of the shots i.e camera height, lens size and even time of day for ambient lighting.  We then used reference images on set to help me match the backgrounds with lighting etc.
